This spring marks 30 years as a Registered Massage Therapist.
What an incredible experience!
My history is varied and adventurous; I was raised in Barrie and first left to go to massage college in the early 90’s. I attended CCMH in Sutton, Ontario. (Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy) graduating in 1993.
In 1993 & 1994 I traveled and lived in Japan and the Philippines. Teaching English, taking courses and absorbing life.
I was inactive with the CMTO for a number of years while living, working and traveling out west. I lived in Banff Alberta in the mid 90’s and worked at the Spa at the Banff Springs Hotel for a number of years. Banff is a beautiful, adventurous and perfect place to spend time in your 20’s.
During my time spent out west, I had the pleasure of teaching at the Foothills College of Massage Therapy. One day I would like to teach again. I believe it’s my true calling. To use my knowledge and experience to teach new RMT’s would be blissful.
In 2001 I started on a new path. I wasn’t sure what it would be, so I traveled; Oregon, Hawaii, BC and all across Canada.
2003 I made the move to the stunning shores of Georgian Bay and settled in Parry Sound for 12 years. It was a time of struggle, much change and eventually growth. It was in Parry Sound that I developed a love for my chosen profession. I discovered the world of triathlon and made close and lifelong friends with some truly amazing women. Leaving Parry Sound was bitter sweet. I miss many of the friends and clients still there. A Special thank you to those whom I still have the pleasure of treating and seeing.
I am now located in Georgina and doing mobile massage therapy across Georgina. I am also working Tuesdays & Thursdays at Sutton West Chiropractic and Weekends at the Ramada in Jacksons Point.
I am now in my forever home! I’ve traded my love of traveling for Birding and gardening year round.
With sincere gratitude, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
